Hubbs has been the CEO of Community Memorial Hospital in Hicksville, Ohio for the past four years. He replaces Danny Boggs who left Memorial Hospital after 17 years to assume the CEO role at Samaritan Regional Health System in Ashland, Ohio. Modern Health Care magazine named Hubbs as one of its thirteen "Up and Comers" under the age of 40 in September of 2002.
Hubbs is a graduate of Indiana University, obtaining both a B.S. in Public Health and a Master's degree of Health Administration. Following graduate school, Hubbs completed a post-graduate fellowship in health care administration at Mount Sinai Hospital Medical Center in Chicago, and then served as Evening Administrator for the University of Chicago Hospitals. Prior to his current role in Hicksville, Hubbs served in a variety of senior-level positions at the Lutheran Health Network located in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Hubbs will relocate to Marysville from Fort Wayne with his wife, Staci, and his two daughters, Abigail, 4, and Gracie, 2. March 8 has been set as his official first day in his new position. "I am privileged and humbled to have been selected by the Board of Trustees to lead Memorial Hospital," he said. "I can think of few other professions that can provide the sense of fulfillment and ability to give back to a community as health care. I look forward to serving the people of Union County and their health care needs. My family is eager to become a part of the Marysville community."
