Physician Assistant Rachel Hoying has joined Marysville Orthopedics and Sports Medicine.
As a physician assistant, Hoying will collaborate with Dr. Mark Stover, Dr. Doug Skura, and Dr. Timothy Lynch to provide patient care services such as
- conducting pre-surgical histories and exams,
- ordering and interpreting lab tests,
- assisting in surgery,
- writing orders,
- and prescribing medication and orthopedic devices.
Additionally, Hoying will assist with tendon repairs, wound closures and debridements, joint and tendon injections, and brace, cast and splint applications.
Before receiving her Master of Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Findlay, Hoying graduated from Marysville High School and completed her Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from the University of Dayton. She appreciates building trusting relationships with patients. “Being involved with patient care, both in office and surgery, I am able to assist patients every step of the way,” she adds.
Including a physician assistant to the team at Marysville Orthopedics and Sports Medicine will allow the practice to improve the coordination and delivery of services to patients.
