A New Horizon for Heart Care The beginning of an exciting expansion of services, The Heart Partnership was established with The Ohio State University Medical Center in 2009. Teams at Memorial Hospital and OSU Medical Center combine the expertise of skilled physicians, nurses, technologists and more as they directly work together from the moment a patient is seen at Memorial Hospital. The collaboration marks the first affiliation of its kind, providing Union County residents with a unique connection to the OSU Medical Center should a transfer be necessary for advanced procedures. A new multi-purpose catheterization lab will be constructed at Memorial Hospital to advance the cardiology services available to our community, saving patients and their loved ones time, mileage, and hassle. The new structure will expand how physicians are able to determine cardiac health issues of patients, treat those issues, and return patients back to their everyday lives, with a stronger, healthier heart. Peripheral vascular procedures will also be performed in the new state-of-the-art facility.
