Community Meals
For those age 60 and over, it’s not always feasible, or even possible,
to prepare your own meals. So, Memorial Hospital provides a place to
enjoy a hot, nutritious lunch among friends. The Community Meals
program features regular and reduced-calorie meals prepared daily by
members of Memorial Hospital’s Food and Nutrition Services team at the
Windsor Manor West Community Room kitchen. Each meal is planned by a
registered dietitian and is cooked without added salt.
There are four Community Meals sites throughout Union County and the
average meal cost is only $8.00. Participants are encouraged to donate
whatever amount they can afford toward the cost of their meal. Spouses,
friends and family of eligible participants may also eat at the $8.00 price. Meals for children under 10 are just $3.00.
Transportation is available to all four Community Meal sites for those who need it.
