Otolaryngology
Otolaryngology is the branch of medicine that specializes in diagnosing
and treating disorders of the ear, nose, throat, head and neck in both
children and adults. More commonly known as ENTs, Otolaryngologists at
Memorial Hospital manage sinus and voice problems, swallowing
difficulties, inner ear issues, removal of benign or cancerous growths
in the head and neck area and more.
Some diagnostic procedures are performed at the office for quick
diagnosis and treatment. Some of these are fiberoptic laryngoscopy (a
tiny scope to visualize the nose and throat) and adult myringotomy (ear
tubes).
Surgical procedures offered by our specialists include:
removal of tonsils and adenoids
placement of ear tubes
sinus surgery
septoplasty (nose surgery)
