Pathology
Pathology offers detection and diagnosis of disease through analysis of
cell and tissue samples. The pathologists work closely with the
clinicians in an effort to provide a clinicopathological understanding
of disease processes. This sometimes involves biopsy reports during
surgical procedures as an intraoperative aid to the surgeon.
Our clinical interests include:
- Hematopathology
- Surgical, pulmonary, endocrine and genitourinary pathology
- Neuropathology
- Immunohistochemistry and electron microscopy
- Cytopathology
To keep pace with the needs of you and your doctor, Memorial Hospital
boasts an accredited, full-service laboratory under the direction of a
Board Certified Pathologist. In addition, we have a strong relationship
with The Ohio State University Medical Center for more involved testing
procedures.
