No one likes to think about surgery, but when an accident or illness leaves no other options, it’s nice to know that the highly skilled surgical team at Memorial Hospital is close to home. Whether your procedure is performed on an outpatient basis, or if a hospital stay is required, our surgeons, anesthesiologists, perioperative nurses and support staff are right there beside you to provide the very best care before, during and after the surgery. We take care of your family, too, by staying in close communication and ensuring their comfort.

Our surgical staff takes extra measures to bring comfort and calm to our youngest patients. Kids even have the option of riding to the operating room in a wagon instead of on their bed.

Location:
We offer both inpatient and outpatient surgical services on Memorial Hospital's main campus.

Availability:
Monday through Friday, 7 a.m.-5:30 p.m. with 24-hour coverage provided by on-call staff.

Appointments:
One of Memorial's case managers will coordinate all paperwork and pre-admission testing for you. Your surgeon's office will provide you the information you need to contact the case management office to set up your pre-admission appointment where they will review the process and preparation required. If you or your family members have any questions before your surgery, please call (937) 578-2479.

Admission preparation:
Specific instructions on eating, drinking or taking medications vary by procedure. Please check with your doctor to find out what preparations are needed for your surgery. Your case manager will also review these matters with you at your pre-admission appointment prior to your scheduled surgery.
